Vignettes from a country house

Though there was plenty to gawk at, these are my favorite shots from Gallery in the Garden, an annual event at the Hawk Mountain home of Eileen Tognini, an independent curator/consultant in Philadelphia. She showcases work by emerging and recognized Philadelphia artists--it's scattered over the grounds and inside the house.

"Listen, Listen" by Jedediah Morfit. The head makes a sound like water dripping.

I'm not sure of the title of this piece, but it's a working sink--the faucet is embedded in the bronze hands. It's by Greg Nangle. I wrote about visiting his studio back in June.

I'm so bummed I missed this! Eileen is such a galvanizing force in our art and design community.
